How-to: Use Greenfield Presets Safely

Presets speed up early choices without locking them in.

Steps

1. Add or edit .github/presets/greenfield-tech-defaults.yaml
2. Run the Author Specification prompt
   • Presets appear as “Org Preset (suggestion)” during Discovery/Defaults only
3. Confirm selections at the Confirmation Gate
   • After this, presets are ignored by all prompts

Notes

• Presets never auto-select; the spec must justify final choices
• Downstream prompts ignore .github/presets/* entirely
