How-to: Implement a Work Item (WI)

Prerequisites

  • Approved docs/specification.md
  • Selected Feature Breakdown file

Steps

  1. Select next WI (or specify WI-###)
  2. Analyze existing code context (patterns, tests, config)
  3. Implement minimal changes to satisfy ACs
  4. Add/modify tests following existing patterns
  5. Run build and tests; fix issues
  6. Update breakdown and plan status; reference IDs in commits

Note: Plan status updates are automatic per standards §4.1 when using the implement prompt (In progress on first WI; Completed when all WIs done and ACs verified; On Hold when paused).
